The service is held a few days before or after the Inti Raymi festival, which takes place on June 24. The tour includes everything you need for a great experience: pick-up from the hotel, complete tourist transportation, professional tour guide, entrance to all tourist attractions and more. Live the festival of the sun on an unforgettable trip through the land of the Incas in Peru.

Itinerary

Day 1 (City Tour Cusco)

  • The City Tour is the most complete tour of the city of Cusco, the capital of the Inca empire.
  • The tour begins with the pick-up of the visitor from the door of their hotel at approximately 8.30 am.
  • Then, aboard a tourist transport to the city’s Main Square where you enter the Cathedral of Cusco.
  • The visit to the Cathedral allows you to learn about the colonial art of the 16th, 17th and 18th centuries in the city of Cusco occupied by the Spanish. It stands out for its magnificent Andean-style baroque architecture, paintings by important artists such as Diego Quispe Tito, as well as sculptures and gold and silver pieces and more.
  • After visiting the Cathedral of Cusco, the trip continues to the archaeological site of Sacsayhuamán. There the visitor will appreciate immense Inca walls made of stones weighing up to 120 tons. How did the Incas move, carve and perfectly fit such huge rocks? During the visit to this Inca site and throughout the entire tour, the visitor will be accompanied by their tour guide.
  • The next tourist destination to visit will be the Qenqo temple, famous for its underground canals and stone monuments. The visit will be short, only 30 minutes.
  • Then the trip continues to the archaeological site of Pucapucara famous for its stone and adobe squares. A few steps from there, always aboard a tourist transport, you travel to the archaeological site of Tambomachay.
  • In Tambomachay the visitor will appreciate the sacred water sources. You will also see important stone constructions that still stand firm today.
  • The last tourist destination to visit will be the Inca temple of Coricancha. To get there you must return to the city of Cusco. The visitor, accompanied by his guide, will visit the most important temples of the Tahuantinsuyo empire.
  • The tour ends with the final transfer of the visitor to the door of their hotel at approximately 2 in the afternoon.

Day 2 (Inti Raymi Tour)

  • The Inti Raymi tour (June 24) starts at 7:45 in the morning. After pickup, the meeting point will be at the Valeriana café (in front of Coricancha). Right in front is the Coricancha temple where the first big show begins at 9 am.
  • The guide will look for the best location for the tourist in this show, free for all visitors. Optionally, you can reserve a seat in an armchair (additional price not included in the tour).
  • After the show in Coricancha, we will walk to the Main Square of Cusco where we will see the second staging of Inti Raymi (starts at 11 am). This show is also open to the public so the tour guide will look for a suitable location. This show, as well as at Coricancha, lasts 45 minutes.
  • After the ceremony in the Main Square, the tourist transport will take the tourist to the Inca fortress of Sacsayhuamán. The guide will deliver a ‘box lunch’ to recharge your batteries.
  • Sacsayhuamán is the main show at Inti Raymi (starts at 2 pm) This staging is only suitable for people who purchased a ticket for one of the available seats: red seat, orange seat or green seat.
  • The show lasts 2 hours 30 minutes (ends at approximately 4.30 pm).
  • The tour ends with the group meeting and the return trip to the center of the city of Cusco where the sun festival concludes (approximately 5.30 pm).

Day 3 (Tour to Machu Picchu)

  • The visit to the Wonder of the World begins with the visitor being picked up at the door of their hotel in the historic center of Cusco (at approximately 4.50 am).
  • On board a tourist transport there is a short trip to Wánchaq station (between 10 to 15 minutes of travel).
  • On board a tourist bus (Bimodal of Peru Rail) a trip of almost 2 hours is made to the Ollantaytambo station, in the Sacred Valley of the Incas.
  • The tourist will have some free time (to use restrooms or make last-minute purchases) before boarding the Peru Rail Expedition train.
  • The train trip lasts 1 hour 45 minutes and offers maximum comfort on board, as well as the most beautiful landscapes of the Vilcanota River.
  • In the town of Aguas Calientes an assistant will lead the visitor to the line to board the Consettur buses. The bus trip lasts 30 minutes.
  • At the gate of Machu Picchu, tourists will meet their guide to enter the archaeological site and complete circuit 2, the most recommended. Includes a visit to the Temple of the Sun, the Main Temple, the Temple of the 3 Windows, the Sacred Rock, the Temple of the Condor and the classic photo in the Guardian House area.
  • After the visit of a little more than 2 hours 30 minutes, the visitor will return by bus to the town of Aguas Calientes.
  • If you reserved the buffet lunch (optional for an extra cost), before returning by bus, you must go to the restaurant of the Sanctuary Lodge hotel (5 stars), the only one located next to Machu Picchu.
  • In Aguas Calientes you will have free time to have lunch (not included in the tour) or make last-minute purchases such as jewelry or alpaca clothing.
  • The return trip is similar to the outward leg. At the time agreed upon by the guide, you arrive at the station to take the Expedition train. The 1 hour 45 minute trip leads to Ollantaytambo. Then you take the Peru Rail Bimodal bus to the city of Cusco (trip of almost 2 hours).
  • The tour to Machu Picchu concludes with the final transfer to the door of the tourist’s hotel at approximately 9 pm.

Day 4 (End of tour)

  • On the last day of their visit, the tourist will be picked up from the door of their hotel for the final transfer to the airport in the city of Cusco.
  • The tour concludes with the farewell. The time is agreed in advance by the visitor via WhatsApp.
